About Me

Hello and welcome to the Wool Bothy

I'm a crofter (smallholder) who loves British wool, especially if it’s local. I also love the outdoors, nature, animals, spinning, weaving, sewing, dyeing, felt-making, crochet, knitting and generally making stuff. My other passion is producing, cooking and eating good food.

I’ve always loved textile crafts, virtually born with a needle and thread in my hand and I've never stopped learning. I visualise everything in shapes and I like to create woolly things from my own head, inspired by my beautiful, unspoilt surroundings, with wool supplied by our own gorgeous sheep. Sometimes ideas go well and some fall by the wayside.
